24 hours Retreats. // 24 heures jeunesses.

(English Below)

IMG_5784Youth retreats are really exhausting, but are so much worth it and they are really a good school to learn about ministry. This weekend, our youth group had a really great time at church, this year we decided to stay at church, and just have a good time with the teens. During our Friday event, we were about 70 people, and it was about 30 degrees celcius (90degrees) and it was really hot. For the night, we had about 40 people, it was really hot too, I’m really glad that winter is finally over. During the retreat, we really had a great time with teens, it was nice to have conversations with some people we don’t usually go and talk to, but this retreat, I had time to connect and talk with different teens and know them on a more personal level, but youth retreats can’t just happen like that, we need to to be prepared, and I underrated our preparation, and I didn’t know that a little retreat at church involved that much work, but all that time preparing it, is worth it, every second. I was really motivated by the participation of the youth leaders, and the teens that spent the day with us, it was a really nice time and we had a great bonding.IMG_0945 I’m very thankful for our situation right now, and all the progress that has been involved since january, God is really doing a great work with our ministry, and I’m blessed to be part of it. Our job is not done yet, but God will keep using us, for his glory and his honour, we are just part of it, and tools in his hands. We need to listen to him and be ready to accomplish his will, and really ask ourselves what does God want me to do in this ministry, and really do it.

These past few weeks, I’ve been reading some great books, that are really encouraging, and I wanted to share them with you.
